Mission
To meet and exceed the educational, informational, and cultural expectations of the Pearl River Community in a sustainable and resilient manner, in a welcoming public space that provides opportunities for enrichment, discovery, and wonder.
To achieve this mission, the Pearl River Public Library will:
- Provide ready access to numerous materials in varied formats, encouraging reading and intellectual curiosity
- Develop and conduct programs that are reflective and responsive to community needs
- Embrace technological change in materials and programs
- Present materials and programs that are responsive to demographic changes in the community
- Provide a welcoming, neutral public space with opportunities for surprise and a sense of wonder
Vision

The Pearl River Public Library will be a welcoming, vital physical and virtual gateway through which Pearl River’s broad and diverse community may access information, congregate to freely exchange and celebrate ideas, literacy, and cultural growth by providing services delivered in a professional manner while continuing to be responsive to individual needs.
